Command Assistant is a productivity tool built into SimpleLocalize's Translation Editor to help you work faster and smarter. It allows you to search, manage, and navigate through your projects—all from a single interface.

Open Command Assistant

To launch the Command Assistant:

  • on macOS, use the keyboard shortcut ⌘ + K
  • on Windows and Linux, use Ctrl + K

Use the arrow keys to navigate and Enter to select a command.

Tip: The Command Assistant is context-aware and designed to streamline your workflow—no need to leave the editor to perform most common tasks.

You can search for translation keys in the current project or all your projects.

You can use search option also from the Dashboard to quickly find translations in your projects.

Open key settings

You can open the translation key settings directly from the Command Assistant.

Add and delete keys

Create new translation keys directly from the Command Assistant. Type the key name and choose Create your-key-name as translation key option.

To delete a translation key, search for it, enter and select Delete translation key option.

You can copy links to translation keys and translations to share specific items with your team. You can also copy your API key or project token to use them in your code.

Quickly access project members and their permissions settings. You can also view recent activities of your team members filtered in the Activity tab.

Use the Command Assistant to switch between tabs in your project, open settings, or access different projects with ease—without opening the Dashboard.

Auto-translate

With one click, you can auto-translate all missing translations in your project.

Sort and filter translations

Filter translations by tag or namespace and sort results by last modified keys, last seen, most or least translated, newest and oldest keys or import order.

Use Reset active filters option to clear all filters.

Other actions

Command Assistant also allows you to perform and access other actions, such as:

  • Customize editor view - expand or collapse rows in list view and switch view
  • Check unpublished changes
  • Refresh translations in the editor
  • Create backup
  • Give feedback
  • Open changelog
  • Open language settings
  • Open file format details
