Tags help categorize and group translation keys, making it easier to organize and filter keys by custom criteria. Unlike namespaces, which are part of the key structure, tags are flexible labels that can be applied to any translation key regardless of its namespace or location. You can assign multiple tags to a single translation key to manage large monorepos, separate features, or versions. You can also export only the translations associated with selected tags.

Create tags

You can create tags in your project settings and assign them to translation keys in the translation editor.

Head to your project Settings and General section. There, you can create tags to use in the translation editor.

You can also create tags directly in the translation editor in translation key settings.

Assign tags to keys

Right-click on a translation key and select Manage key to open the translation key settings. There, you can add, edit, and remove tags.

To apply tags to multiple translation keys at once, use the bulk actions feature.

Filter by tags

In the translation editor, you can filter translation keys by tags. Open the Filters panel and select the tags you want to display.

Tags access permissions

You can limit access to translations assigned to specific tags by setting up tags access permission for translator users. This way, you can control which translations are visible to translators based on the tags assigned to them.
