Publishing translations

Translation publishing is the process of pushing translations from Translation Editor to the Translation Hosting service, or between hosting environments, and making them available for fetching.

How to publish translations

To publish translations, go to the SimpleLocalize dashboard and open the project which you want to publish translations. Go to the 'Hosting' tab, and click 'Publish changes' on the Latest environment card.

Translation Hosting publish translations

After clicking the 'Publish changes' button, you will see a popup to confirm the action. Click the 'Publish' button to proceed, and the translations will be published to the Latest environment. Publication process may take a few seconds, depending on the number of translations.

Full publication always targets the Latest environment first, and then cascades to downstream hosting environments in the order they were configured.

Publishing selected keys only

Instead of a full project-wide publication, you can publish only specific keys to any hosting environment. Select one or more keys in the Translation Editor, open the context menu (right-click), and choose Publish translations.

Select keys and open context menu to publish

A confirmation popup will appear where you can set Publication labels and choose the Target environment, including environments other than Latest, such as Staging or Production.

Choose target environment when publishing selected keys

This is the only way to publish directly to a non-Latest environment, and is useful for deploying a hotfix or a specific feature's strings without a full project publication.
